  • New Cairo / El Tagamoa

It is closer to the airport while being less crowded than central Cairo. It is one of the areas a lot of foreigners prefer to stay in for its nice vibes. Zamalek is also home to a lot of embassies and for that reason, there is a lot of security in the street. You will find there a lot of nice restaurants, cafes, and bars. Even just walking around in this neighborhood is a delight on its own.

Maadi

Another neighborhood that expats and foreigners love to live in. Maadi is like a closed community. It is calm, and not much of a nightspot like Zamalek. However, you can find there some small bars, and restaurants run and owned by foreigners offering specialties from their authentic cuisines. Maadi is also known for being a green area full of beautiful gardens and is one of the cleanest neighborhoods in Cairo. It is also pet friendly and a place that encourages you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, you will find a lot of residents there cycling, jogging, and running around the blocks.
